Investigatory-Initiated Study Program

The ChampDx Investigator-initiated Study Program is open to all academic and veterinarian researchers worldwide who are interested in conducting research related to ChampDx’s proteomic and molecular diagnostic tests. The researcher is responsible for the legal and regulatory aspects of the study.

Proposals must be submitted in English and are reviewed by a team of medical and scientific staff who meet regularly to review submitted proposals. Please describe the study in clear and concise detail so that our review committee will have a good understanding of the study design, objectives, and workflow. ChampDx may decide to support studies by providing funding, reagents, and/or loan of instruments.

In reviewing study proposals our team considers whether the proposed study:

  • Is well described and has a scientifically valid study design.
  • Is aligned with ChampDx’s research goals of demonstrating the technical, clinical and economic value of our proteomic and molecular tests for the veterinary market.
  • Study provides incremental value to the current body of knowledge regarding ChampDx’s proteomic and molecular tests.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements, ethical standards and ChampDx’s own societal and business standards.
  • Is conducted by experienced and qualified investigators.
  • Is expected to result in publication in a peer-reviewed journal or other recognized professional forum within two years of initiation.

Scope of research can include but is not limited to the assessment of novel proteomic and molecular biomarkers as diagnostic and prognostic tools for cancer in companion animals and infectious disease.

We only support sponsored studies that add to the body of knowledge regarding the use of proteomic- and molecular-based biomarker tests that have the potential for improving treatment outcomes and quality of life for companion animals. We do not support studies that influence individual purchasing decisions.
