IFU
Description: This antibody recognizes a peptide representing a highly conserved cytoplasmic sequence of the epsilon chain of CD3 giving it broad species cross-reactivity. CD3 is a protein complex and T-cell co-receptor that is involved in activating T-cells through the association of the T-cell receptor. The CD3 antigen is a highly specific marker for T-cells and is expressed in the majority of T-cell neoplasms.
Studies have shown that CD3 is a reliable pan T-cell marker and in conjunction with a B-cell marker (CD20, CD79a, and PAX5) for immunophenotyping T-cell lymphomas from B- and null-cell lymphomas.
